Overcoming a severe hearing disability, Andrea Arrowsmith leads an active life with her lip reading skills. She was a school leader, attended college, married, and lived overseas in Thailand and Hawaii with her two children and husband, a linguist, during the 1960’s.

From the 1970’s to the present years, Andrea, divorced, raised two children in the United States working in offices and by owning a cleaning business.

Throughout her entire life, Andrea maintained an interest in the spiritual, in the celestial music she hears. In recent years, she expanded her music into recordings and concerts and is a co-founder of the Inner Sounds of Light Institute with Mary Riley.

Mary Riley spent many years raising five children, having had two of the children at a young age and three later on—one with cerebral palsy. With this responsibility and her oldest son in college during the 60’s, she wrote two novels during pre-dawn hours. One novel, set in the 60’s, is in the process of being re-written.

A near death experience during a 2 month hospitalization during the 70’s left Mary with the ability to see inner realms of color and light and rays of color constantly coming off the sun. This turned out to be an intense enhancement of her spiritual commitment. She began writing interviews for The Seattle New Times newspaper.

After an interview with Andrea Arrowsmith in 1994, Mary was so impressed with the genuineness of Andrea’s celestial music she decided to work with Andrea, touring the southwest, the west coast and Canada – speaking, writing articles and setting up music concerts. In 1998, Andrea and Mary co-founded the Inner Sounds of Light Institute.
